Michael J. Diamond is a recognized leader at the intersection of the legal profession and the global insurance industry, with more than three decades of experience building professional organizations, advising insurers, and developing relationships across the specialty insurance marketplace.

Michael founded Chartwell Law in 2002 and served as its leader for more than two decades. Under his leadership, the firm grew from a single office into a nationally recognized insurance-focused law firm with approximately 300 lawyers and professionals serving insurers across the United States.

As founder and managing leader of Chartwell Law, Michael was responsible for the strategic vision, growth, and day-to-day management of the firm. The firm developed deep relationships with insurers, claims organizations, and risk professionals throughout the insurance industry while building a reputation for excellence in insurance litigation and claims-related legal services.

Through that experience, Michael developed an extensive network of relationships within the excess and surplus lines insurance sector and the Lloyd’s of London market, working closely with insurers, managing agents, claims professionals, and service providers operating in complex specialty insurance environments.
